Which Way To Go

Transport law, news & explainers

Independent Australian transport journalism and plain-English reference guides built from primary sources.

Editorial Standards

WWTG is an independent Australian transport publication. These standards explain how our plain-English explainers are researched, checked and corrected.

Primary sources first

Explainers are built from current legislation, regulations, notices and official regulator guidance. Commentary may add context, but it is not the basis for a legal claim.

Jurisdiction is part of the answer

WWTG identifies where a rule applies and flags important differences, including the separate systems in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Readers planning a trip should check the relevant regulator and approved route for every jurisdiction.

Current status, not false certainty

Pages show a last-checked date, source links and status. When a rule is changing or a point needs authority clarification, we say so rather than guess.

Independent editorial judgement

WWTG is published by Boss Creative Pty Ltd. Editorial judgement remains independent of external commercial or stakeholder interests. Explainers are not legal advice and are not a substitute for advice on a specific operation.

Corrections

To report an error, outdated source or missing jurisdiction, email editor@wwtg.au. Corrections are assessed against the relevant source and material updates are dated.
